Hello, My name is Pauli Driver Smith, and I am the county coordinator for the Lewis County, Kentucky GenWeb Project pages. I'm really excited to be to be a part of the Kentucky GenWeb Project, and am looking forward to developing my site into a comprehensive place where we can all share our Lewis County, Kentucky genealogy, history, and personal histories.
I do not live in or near Lewis County, although until the 1960s, generations of my family lived out their lives in Lewis and Mason Counties in Kentucky, and Adams and Brown Counties across the river in Ohio. Because I do not live here, I cannot answer specific research questions. The best place to go for your questions and queries is the Lewis County message board. If you are on Facebook, there is a great genealogy research group for Lewis county. It is quite active and the people there are very helpful.

What's New: I will try to keep this page up to let you know what new goodies I've added since my last update. No promises, Sometimes I just get into the "zone" and just start adding stuff. By the time I'm finished, I have no idea where all of it is. :-)
For want of a better place, here is a really nice article on the 1913 County fair and Vanceburg contributed by Glen Haney zip File
